A good business portrait is a small investment in your future. We sometimes spend half our lifes being educated to prepare for a desired job, then go to a department store and spend $15 on a portrait. If that is what you think your future is worth then you might as well stop now, but if you expect more please continue on. Your portrait deserves to be a work of art.

We endeavor to make you look professional while at the same time friendly and approachable. Some prefer a more distiguished look. The session price is $95 plus tax and includes the single image we agree is the best for your intentions. This image is not copyrighted and you are free to use it as you wish. The fee includes retouching, enhancing and a digital file which will be e-mailed to you in three versions after the session, usually on the same day. Additional poses may be purchased at $25 each to cover the time required to retouch each pose. We will be happy to reshoot immediately if you are not pleased with the results. The images you do not choose will be deleted after the session.

The session generally requires 15 minutes or so of your time. We have a room available for changing, checking your hair, etc. The studio is located on the second floor, just down the hall from the changing room. We generally suggest a slightly right facing shoulder position with the head turned towards the camera, however if you feel your best side is the left we will accomodate you.

The digital files you receive are in 4 high-resolution (4.5x6 @ 300 dpi) versions suitable for printing:

portrait files
Adobe RGB
Color space suitable for printing on a high-quality device such as a good inkjet printer.
sRGB
Used in most commercial photo printing operations such as the drug store or photo dealer and looks best on your computer monitor.
CMYK
Suitable for 4-color press printing.
Grayscale
Black and white (unlike RGB it has a single channel).

Plus two low-resolution version (250x333 pixels) sRBG color space suitable for web and e-mails. These low-resolution version are no less sharp or lower quality, they are simply smaller so they do not fill the screen with a huge image when you attach to an e-mail or insert into a web page.

low-res files

Prints are also available at additional cost.

This portrait was taken outdoors on our front porch. This is an option many prefer because it is a more relaxed look rather than the more formal studio portrait.
